WA Hitchers Unite to Help Bush Fire Appeal
Sitting here in WA, we are so grateful to have access to fresh air and supplies that our loved ones and country people are not currently being afforded in places on the East Coast due to the catastrophic affect of the bush fires.
We want to do our part to help so a group of us have decided to offer a Registry Style Marriage Service in February/March 2020 with ALL proceeds being donated to bush fire assistance. You will choose from a list of charitable options.
You can check out the WA Hitchers on Instagram
HOW WILL IT WORK?
Are you planning on getting married in a registry style "legals only" ceremony? Why not do it AND benefit those in need?
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
$500 with the entire amount being donated straight from the Celebrant to your nominated charity
WHERE WILL IT BE?
You will be booked a table at The Old Laundry in North Perth for your nominated time once a Celebrant has been allocated to you. You will need two official adult witnesses to the marriage but we can book a table for up to 12 people (including you). The amount of people attending will not change the service. The "legals only" service being offered will include the legal requirements of a Marriage Ceremony only. If you wish to organise a different kind of ceremony you can discuss this with your allocated Celebrant which will most likely incur a further fee. You will be given Terms and Conditions to agree to by your nominated Celebrant.
Click here to see what your ceremony will/can include for this fee.
Please note that all food and drinks purchased at the venue will be paid for by the couple and guests at the completion of their meal/drinks.
WHAT DATES ARE AVAILABLE:
Availability will depend on Celebrants availability. Once we have your desired date/time then we will hopefully find someone available or we will send you an alternative date/time when someone is available.
You will need ONE MONTH to lodge the Notice of Intended Marriage document with your Celebrant so please make sure your proposed date allows enough time for that.
WHAT IS THE FIRST STEP?
Step 1: Fill in the enquiry form below
Step 2: Once we have replied with your allocated Celebrant please contact them directly to confirm your booking.
Step 3: Your table will be booked at The Old Laundry, please be sure to ammend/cancel this booking if anything changes. You will receive an email confirmation from the venue which you can use to ammend your booking.

The St Vincent De Paul Society is also running a bushfire appeal, to help those affected rebuild their lives with food, clothing, furniture, other essentials, and funds to pay bills.
They explain exactly where your money could go:
• $50 “can provide food for a family who have been evacuated from their home.”
• $150 “can help with bills and unexpected expenses for a household recovering from a bushfire.”
